NTA Welcomes Agents, Other Professional Travel Buyers to its 2008 Annual Convention in Pittsburgh

The National Tour Association is inviting professional travel buyers to participate in a one-day Buyer-to-Buyer Exchange at the 2008 Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, Nov. 15-19. For the second consecutive year, the association is welcoming travel buyers such as travel agents, bank and educational travel planners to participate in an appointment session with NTA tour operators, giving them access to the unique tour product offered by NTA travel packagers.

The National Tour Association is playing a major role in today’s announcement from the China National Tourism Administration and the U.S. Department of Commerce. The two countries announced that the Memorandum of Understanding signed in December will be initiated with an inaugural tour led by CNTA Chairman Shao Qiwei June 17 to Washington, D.C. Following the first group, Chinese leisure group travelers will be able to travel to the U.S. only through Chinese travel agents working with U.S. tour operators who are part of NTA’s China Inbound Program.
