Yesawich Survey Finds Travelers Will Still Vacation This Year
A new national survey released this week by travel marketing firm Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell, reveals that only a quarter of the U.S. tourists will change their vacation plans because of the war. Peter Yesawich provided NTA tour operator members with a sneak peak at the survey results during this year’s NTA Tour Operator Spring Meet.

The study indicates that a large majority of vacationers will continue with their travel plans despite the war with Iraq. However, 58% of the respondents said they will avoid traveling to Washington, D.C. and 54% said they would not travel to New York City.

Of the travelers surveyed who indicated they will change their travel plans because of the war, 72% plan to take fewer international trips and 65% will drive to their destination instead of fly.
