Travel Warning Issued for Liberia
The U.S. Department of State is advising Americans to avoid travel to Liberia due to unstable security circumstances throughout the country.
According to the State Department, the warning is being issued to alert Americans to ongoing threats and dangers in Liberia, which stem from intensified fighting, roadblocks, increased crime and rising instability in the country. The growing presence of multiple ill-trained and heavily armed government security personnel in the area can also cause potential danger.
