Tourists in Mexico Flee Following Earthquake
Following the powerful earthquake that rocked Mexico on Tuesday, killing 28 people and injuring 300 near the state of Colima, many tourists fled the area and others cancelled vacations.
The earthquake caused minor damage to Mexico City, more than 300 miles away, and frightened visitors in Manzanillo when it knocked down a lighthouse, closed a busy port and damaged resort hotels. However, Mexican President Vicente Fox said the damage should not deter visitors from traveling to the costal resorts.
