NTA Members Encouraged to Mark National Tourism Week
In support of TIA’s 20th Annual National Tourism Week May 10-28, NTA encourages its members to host local events promoting travel and tourism within their respective states and across the country. National Tourism Week officially kicks off May 10 with See America Day and the opportunity for NTA members to promote the economic, cultural and social impacts of travel and tourism across the country.
To promote National Tourism Week, NTA members may purchase 1,000 See America bookmarks, including your company’s logo and imprinting, for only $50. The deadline to purchase the See America bookmarks is March 21.
National Tourism Week was established in 1983 when, in a White House ceremony, President Ronald Reagan signed a Presidential Proclamation urging U.S. citizens to observe the week with "the appropriate ceremonies and activities."
NTA members will find resources to help promote National Tourism Week by visiting TIA.org. Simply go to the "tourism awareness" bar at the top of the homepage and receive access to the National Tourism Week toolkit.
