Colorado Traffic Affected by Interstate Closure
A sinkhole and underground erosion Sunday has temporarily closed one lane of Colorado’s main transportation corridor, Interstate 70, this week, snarling traffic in Vail.

According to NTA member The Grand Junction, Colorado Visitor & Convention Bureau, the Colorado Department of Transportation is reviewing road damage. Currently, Interstate 70 has one eastbound and one westbound lane open for traffic, with delays expected. Vehicles over a width of 12′ should use exit 195.

The estimated length of time for repairs to Interstate 70 is unknown at this time. For more information regarding the closure of Interstate 70, or to review alternate routes, tour operator members should refer to the Colorado Department of Transportation at cotrip.org.
