CDC Lifts SARS Travel Warnings
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lifted its SARS travel advisory for Hong Kong and removed the Singapore travel alert yesterday, indicating the disease appears to be contained.
According to the Associated Press and Travel Management Daily, the CDC issued a lighter travel precaution for Hong Kong which "informs travelers of a health concern and provides advice about specific precautions." The CDC reports that SARS cases have been contained in Hong Kong for 20 days and in Singapore it has been 30 days since the last known case appeared.
