NTA’s Communication and Marketing team enters a new chapter

June 16, 2026

NTA’s Communication and Marketing department is beginning its next chapter this spring, with two new team members joining the association and longtime employee Bob Rouse entering retirement.

Tonya Littlefield Cummings returns to the NTA Headquarters staff as director of communication and marketing. She worked previously for NTA, serving the association from 2001 to 2010, first as director of communications then as director of technology solutions, and, for five years, as vice president of operations. For the past decade-plus, she has co-owned and directed the business operations of a physical therapy clinic. A native of north central Pennsylvania, Tonya hold a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from St. Bonaventure University in New York.

Evan Bentley joins the NTA staff as manager of communication and marketing. A recent graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Evan worked previously as social media coordinator for SOAR, Shaping Our Appalachian Region. While in college, he served as student communication and brand management specialist. Evan is a native of Richmond, Kentucky.

After nearly 16 years with NTA, Bob is retiring June 16. Joining the headquarters team in 2010, Bob served in a series of writing, editing, and strategic planning roles, including editor of Courier magazine and vice president of communication and marketing. During the remainer of 2026, Bob will do periodic project work for the association and join the NTA community’s 75th anniversary celebration at Travel Exchange in Tulsa in November.

Kendall Fletcher, after contributing to NTA’s marketing and communication efforts for 11 years, embarked on a new professional opportunity in April.

“We celebrate all that Bob and Kendall have done for so many years to keep NTA members—and the packaged-travel community—informed and enlightened,” says Catherine Prather, NTA president. “At the same time, we’re excited to welcome Tonya and Evan to our staff. They bring a wealth of talent to the team, and I know they will enjoy serving the NTA community—the best in the business!”

NTA’s new and departing staff members have conducted a smooth transition to ensure continuity for the association’s members and its communication programs while positioning NTA for continued growth and creativity.
