Texas Braces for Tropical Storm Claudette
The South Texas coastline is under a hurricane watch as the area braces for rough weather with the arrival of Tropical Storm Claudette.

According to CNN.com and a report from Travel Advance, travelers and campers escaped South Padre Island in Texas this weekend as the storm neared the area. Tropical Storm Claudette’s maximum winds reached nearly 65 mph yesterday and strong currents picked up along the coast.

A hurricane watch remains in effect for the Texas Gulf Coast region from Matagorda to Brownsville, as well as in the Mexican coastal area from Brownsville to Rio San Fernando. Additionally, in Cancun over the weekend, tourists were sent back to hotels for shelter.
