State Department Issues Travel Warning for China
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) continues to take its toll on travel to Asia as the U.S. State Department issues a travel warning advising U.S. citizens to avoid travel to China.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also suggests citizens should defer travel to China and to areas with a large number of SARS cases, including Mainland China and Hong Kong.
U.S. citizens are encouraged to closely monitor the CDC Web site at CDC.gov and the World Health Organization at WHO.int for the latest information on SARS.
