Independence Hall Reopens With New Security Measures in Place
Following a temporary closing, the National Park Service (NPS) reopened Independence Hall including the east and west wings and the adjacenet buildings Congress Hall and Old City Hall.

The National Park Service will continue to maintain secure areas around Independence Hall and Liberty Bell, as well as screening tourists on Fifth Street near Market and behind Independence Hall. Visitors to Independence Hall should plan to enter the new security screening area from Fifth Street between Chestnut and Walnut Streets.

Timed tickets are available for Independence Hall at no charge on the day of the visit, or in advance by calling 1-800-967-2283.
