Poll Indicates Most Fliers Feel Safe
|
According to a poll conducted last week by Equation Research, three out of four (or 78%) travelers feel safer flying as a result of the increased security efforts instilled by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
The poll also indicates that a similar majority, nearly 77%, of those surveyed stated they are getting used to the added security measures and don’t mind it. However, 63% indicated airport security is becoming more of a hassle. On a positive note, 73% of the adults surveyed plan to travel about the same amount or more in the next three months as compared to the previous three months.
"People generally feel the airline industry has done a good job in the extra measures for air travel and security," says Mike Travis, CEO of Equation Research. "They feel safer as a result of these measures."
Equation Research polled 2,146 adults, many of whom traveled for business or leisure during the last year.
