NTA Annual Convention Opens in Kansas City
Nov. 2, 2007 –The NTA Annual Convention opened today in Kansas City. The Convention Committee has worked hard and with the help of the board and leadership team, as well as the host city, has transformed this first day of the Convention.

Today, NTA will introduce the Buyer-to-Buyer Exchange, where tour operators and other professional travel buyers will have prescheduled business appointments. During the meetings, tour operators will be able to buy and sell with each other. This session replaces the Tour Operator Speed Dating session.

Also today, the Destination Pavilion will premier. Tour operators have been asking for a way to shop and develop product regionally, and the Destination Pavilion is the answer. Sixty-five U.S. states, Canadian provinces and international countries and their partnering suppliers will be grouped by geographic region to allow tour operators to develop their tour product regionally.

Delegates will enjoy a Wine and Cheese reception this afternoon where they can browse the floor, network, and sample wines from across North America and enjoy California cheeses.

Stay tuned to This Just In for Convention updates throughout the five-day event.
