NTA Announces Host Cities for Upcoming Tour Operator Spring Meets
May 11, 2006- The National Tour Association Board of Directors has selected the host cities for its 2008 and 2009 NTA Tour Operator Spring Meets. Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. (2008) and Monterey, Calif. (2009) will follow Kelowna, B.C., which will host this key NTA event in 2007.
"I am thrilled with the selections," NTA Chairman and CEO Judith Thomas, CTP, said. "The operators love the relaxed networking aspect of the NTA Spring Meet, and holding future events at resort destinations such as Mohegan Sun and Monterey will contribute to the ‘retreat-like’ atmosphere."
The NTA Spring Meet has a relaxed atmosphere, where NTA operators meet on a more informal basis to discuss industry events and collaborate with fellow operators to create travel packages and fellow partnerships for the future.
"NTA tour companies are continually looking for new and different product, as well as fresh ways to look at destinations," said NTA President Hank Phillips, CTP. "These upcoming host cities will benefit from this opportunity to showcase their area, and NTA members will benefit from the education, networking and collaborative environment of an NTA Spring Meet."
