Nevada May Soon Have New Seller of Travel Law
A new Nevada seller of travel bill – one that eliminates a bond requirement – is one step closer to becoming law after unanimous approval from both houses of the state legislature.

According to TWCrossroads.com, the bill, which still needs Republican Gov. Kenny Guinn’s signature to become law, eliminates a $50,000 bond requirement for any seller of travel within the state. Instead, the legislation mandates sellers of travel to maintain trust accounts for customer trip payments.

Under the new legislation, tour operators and tour brokers would pay a $25 registration fee, a significant decrease from previous legislation. Tour operators and tour brokers would not have to be registered until Jan. 1, 2004.
