Hurricane Isabel Prompts Airlines to Relax Reservations Policies
Due to Hurricane Isabel’s impending arrival, airlines will ease reservation policies for people traveling to and from parts of East Coast, allowing travelers to alter plans without penalties.
According to CNN.com, no carriers had announced flight cancellations by Tuesday afternoon. Hurricane Isabel, which has weakened to Category 2 status, is forecasted to hit the North Carolina coast Thursday and move northward through eastern Virginia.

In another Hurricane Isabel-related move, Amtrak canceled some trains in the Southeast today and Thursday, as well as a Washington, D.C.-bound train leaving Chicago today. Some trains that were to travel north from Richmond, Va., will instead leave from Washington. Passengers can get a refund or reschedule at no charge.
