Bermuda’s Airport to Reopen Today
After being pounded by Hurricane Fabian last week, Bermuda’s airport is scheduled to reopen today to commercial traffic.
The mile-long causeway leading to Bermuda’s airport partially collapsed in the storm, which was the strongest hurricane in nearly 80 years, according to CNN.com. Two-thirds of the island remained without power Sunday night, and many residents had no water. But most of the roads were passable, and much of the work of assessing and repairing damage was underway.
