David Yu to Lead NTA Visit USA Center in Shanghai

As the new leader of the NTA Visit USA Center in Shanghai, David Yu is taking his own advice this week. Yu is visiting the United States, first here at Pow Wow International, then at NTA headquarters in Lexington, Ky. Yu became NTA’s chief representative for China last month and hit the ground running, attending first the China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market in Beijing, followed by road shows to Chongqing and Chengdu, and then last week’s World Travel Fair in Shanghai.

NTA Sees Action on Visa Issue

As NTA’s public affairs advocate, Steve Richer keeps a running list of legislative issues important to association members. These days, it’s the list that’s keeping Richer running.
… Richer said NTA has long advocated streamlining the visa application process. “If we can make it simpler and faster for international travelers to obtain a visa to visit the U.S., we’ll see more travelers in this country,” he said. “It can take up to four months for someone in China to get a visa. That hurts inbound travel.”
