Urgent Call for Supplies in Biloxi
October 27, 2005 – NTA Headquarters received information from Steve Richer, CTP, of the Mississipppi Gult Coast CVB who said there are thousands of people in Biloxi, Miss., who are in desperate need of nonperisable food items and personal hygiene supplies.

The Red Cross was bringing truckloads of this stuff at one time, but now only a few pallettes are coming per day, and people are taking the stuff really fast, and there isn’t much to go around.

Items they need are:

  • Canned tuna or salmon
  • Any canned vegetables
  • Nonperishable meals of any kind
  • Powdered milk and mashed potatoes
  • Cereal
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Hairbrushes
  • Feminine products
  • Soap
  • Laundry detergent
  • Bleach

Richer said that if anyone can send the types of things, they should be shipped to:
    Mike Chamberlain
    Mississippi Coast Comfort Station East
    2350 Beach Blvd.
    Biloxi, Miss. 39531

When shipping, it’s good to say that the address is located at the intersection of Beauvoir and Hwy 90.

If you need more information, please contact Mike Chamberlain, project coordinator, at 228.324.4836.
