Travel Alert Lifted in Taiwan
Tuesday U.S. officials with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) lifted a SARS-related travel alert to Taiwan.

According to a report in Newsday, the CDC removed the travel alert because it has been more than 30 days since the last SARS case was reported. Taiwan was the only remaining area on the list of federal health alerts due to SARS.

CDC travel alerts are not necessarily a recommendation against travel to a certain area, but they advise consumers of health-related concerns.
