Tourism Cares Announces Scholarship Recipient
June 27, 2012
Tourism Cares is proud to announce the winner of the Euphoria Scholarship for Tourism Excellence, Qihui Ng. An international student from Singapore, Ng is attending the New York University’s Preston Robert Tisch Center, pursuing a Master’s of Science in Tourism. Her achievements in working with the Singapore Tourism Board, as well as her academic excellence and enthusiasm for the tourism industry, contributed to her receiving the award.
"I feel honored to receive this academic scholarship," said Ng. "With my degree, I look forward to assisting my future employer, Singapore Tourism Board, in preserving tourism sites of significance and enhancing future tourists’ experiences in Singapore."
The Tourism Cares Euphoria Scholarship was offered for the first time in 2012 at the request of the late Sarah Graham Mann, a longtime faculty member at the Tisch Center and a consultant in the early years of Tourism Cares.
Each year, Tourism Cares awards more than $60,000 in scholarships to students in the United States and Canada who are studying travel, tourism and hospitality. If you would like to contribute to this program for students such as Ng, follow this link.
