NTA Members Invited to Clinton Presidential Center Grand Opening
April 30, 2004 – The Clinton Presidential Center and Park in downtown Little Rock, Ark., is scheduled to open this November. Located on the banks of the Arkansas River in downtown Little Rock’s River Market District, the Clinton Center will house the largest archival collection in American Presidential history. The center will include the museum, the archival collection, and educational research facilities.
The Clinton Center is the centerpiece of revitalization efforts bringing exciting new hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues and shops to the district. The main building takes the form of a glass bridge, symbolizing Clinton’s theme of "Building a Bridge to the 21st Century". In addition to the bridge, the center will also contain a pavilion with restrooms and an eating area, an amphitheater, a children’s playground two-thirds the size of a football field and walking/bicycle trails.
Some NTA tour operators got a sneak peek of the Clinton Center while under construction, during Tour Operator Spring Meet sightseeing tours. NTA members are officially invited to attend the exciting grand opening event Nov. 14-18. Please send the names and addresses of those wishing to attend to:
