NTA Announces New Technology Initiatives
(Lexington, Ky.) –The National Tour Association will introduce a high-tech exhibition space known as the Technology Pavilion at its 2004 Annual Convention in Toronto, Nov. 12-16. The Technology Pavilion will showcase programs, products and services offered by NTA associate members and will include specialty lighting, built-in counters and updated fixtures to enhance the display area.

This new initiative is part of NTA’s continuing effort to provide a menu of technology solutions for travel professionals that ultimately strengthen the partnership between tour operators, destinations, suppliers and the consumer.

"NTA recognizes that now, more than ever, members are looking for creative technology solutions to help support their travel-related businesses," said NTA President Hank Phillips, CTP. "NTA and its Board of Directors have made technology solutions a strategic priority of the association and we are committed to increasing awareness of our associate members offering technology solutions."

In addition, NTA is declaring Monday, Nov. 15, as "Technology Day," at the Annual Convention. Tour operators are encouraged to bring an information technology person from their company by purchasing a special two-day pass. Seminars also will be presented by travel technology professionals in the Welcome & Information Center and other sessions will be held on the Seminar Level that day.
