National Museum of American History Closing for Renovation
June 13, 2006 – The National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., will close for renovation. The museum will close to the public on Sept. 5 this year and is scheduled to reopen by summer 2008.

Information and updates about the museum’s extensive renovation work will be posted on the museum’s Web site, americanhistory.si.edu/about/renovations.cfm.
