Learn More about Going Green
March 17, 2008 – Are you interested in learning how your company can go green? Make plans now to attend an interactive session at the NTA Tour Operator Spring Meet at Mohegan Sun. On Thursday, April 3, you can hear from NTA members who have implemented green practices in their everyday operations. You’ll benefit from these case studies and hear an honest assessment of their steps and missteps in this area, which is increasingly important to travelers everywhere.
"Best Practices in Green Operations" will be moderated by 2008 NTA Annual Convention Chairman John Shaffer of Luray Caverns. Panelists include Darren Berg of MTR Western, Greg Eckhart of Travel Portland and Taunya Wolfe Finn of Wolfe Adventures and Tours.
NTA also is looking at environmental best practices at Convention, and everyday at headquarters. The 2008 Annual Convention in Pittsburgh will be NTA’s first green convention. Pittsburgh is home to the first and largest certified "green" convention center in the world – the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, which is the site of NTA’s 2008 event.
