Foundation Announces First-Ever La Macchia Family Scholarship
September 16, 2004 – William E. La Macchia and the La Macchia family have created the La Macchia Family Scholarship in honor of La Macchia’s induction into the National Tourism Foundation’s Hall of Fame in June 2004. The $1,000 scholarship will be administered by the National Tourism Foundation and will be awarded for the first time in 2005.

To be eligible for the La Macchia Family Scholarship, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale, be entering his/her junior or senior year of study and have a degree emphasis in a travel-and-tourism-related field at a Wisconsin college or university.
