CTC Reports Increase in Travel to Canada in November 2002
The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) is reporting November 2002 results demonstrate a continued increase in international travel to Canada fueled by primary markets in Europe and the United States.

According to the CTC, overnight travel to Canada increased by 9.6 percent in November 2002, compared to November 2001. The total number of United States tourists to Canada was up by 7.6 percent, while overseas overnight travel increased 19.9 percent. The November numbers mark the fifth consecutive monthly increase in travel to Canada in 2002.

The report also shows the number of Canadian tourists traveling to the United States or overseas was up 7.4 percent and 17.3 percent respectively to reach a total of 1.1 million tourists in November.
