Conan O’Brien to Encourage Toronto Tourism
January 26, 2004 – Comedian Conan O’Brien will stump for Canadian tourism Feb. 10-13, when he takes his "Late Night with Conan O’Brien" talk show to Toronto.

According to CNN.com, several Canadian celebrities, including Mike Myers, Michael J. Fox, Adam Sandler, Eric McCormack, and music acts Nickelback and Barenaked Ladies, are set to appear in the four-night stand.

O’Brien’s visit to Toronto is in response to the tourism hit Canada’s largest city suffered because of last year’s SARS outbreak. While the Canadian SARS scare is over, several Toronto businesses want to ensure that U.S. tourists return this summer and have funded $750,000 of the costs to relocate the cast and crew of "Late Night" from New York to Toronto’s historic Elgin Theatre.

NTA’s 2004 Annual Convention is scheduled in Toronto Nov. 12-16.
