Tour Operator Technology Summit set for April 24

March 12, 2019

NTA has joined with several travel associations to co-sponsor the Tour Operator Tech Summit on April 24 at the Park Central Hotel in New York City. The full-day event, organized by the NAJ Group, is designed for small and midsize tour operators to learn from a curated group of emerging technology providers, whose products can help operators automate their business by designing tour packages and managing them more efficiently.

“The reason we’re creating this event is that, while travel companies have become ever more sophisticated with connectivity and technology, receptive and domestic tour operators have fallen behind,” said Jake Steinman, CEO of the NAJ Group. “It’s our hope that this will help them stay competitive.”

The summit is part of a larger event, RTO Summit East, which is also organized by the NAJ Group.

Representatives of 12 companies are scheduled to make presentations at the summit, and their products address solutions for a variety of challenges that operators face, including finding, booking, selling and customizing tours. Other applications connect operators with networks of individuals whose services range from providing real-time translations to preparing in-home meals.

Because of NTA’s co-sponsorship, member tour operators can attend for $199. For more information, including the agenda and a registration portal, follow this link.
