Campbell County CVB

The Campbell County CVB will assist with planning the following experiences and activities: surface coal mine tours (step-on guides); Dry Fork Station plant tours, a state-of-the-art power plant; the Rockpile Museum and Wright Centennial Museum; and amazing planetarium shows, (the only $2.8 million school district planetarium in the world to feature the optical-mechanical star projector and digital video projectors).
They also offer tours of the Durham Buffalo Ranch, which can be accompanied with a bison BBQ cook-out! Campbell County has 27 hotels with over 2,000 hotel rooms, and over 70 restaurants, from fast food to fine dining options, and everything in between! Plus, enjoy our local breweries and meadery! There are several shopping areas, including the historic downtown Gillette Avenue shops, and the Town of Wright. For a relaxing stretch break, the Campbell County Recreation Center in Gillette offers unsurpassed amenities like those found in high-end health clubs, and admission is free to Seniors!

Experience the excitement of The Kentucky Derby year-round. Located at Gate 1: Churchill Downs, your 2-hour visit includes a guided walking tour of Churchill Downs, our 360-degree Multi-Media show of “The Greatest Race”, 2 floors of hands-on exhibits, and a visit to see our resident Thoroughbred in the museum’s paddock area.
