Welcome to the new NTAonline.com

January 13, 2009

Michele09Dear NTA Members,

Welcome to the new NTAonline.com. After months of hard work, the new Web site is ready for you and the end result is fresh and intuitive. The new site is designed to help you navigate your way through tools you need to grow your business, as well as the most up-to-the minute information about your association and the industry.

In Pittsburgh, NTA held brief online demos of the new site to gather member feedback. Additionally, the 2008 Selling NTA Product Online, No Holds Barred Think Tank, and Member Information committees, all helped to make the new NTA Online a relevant and useful member tool.

When NTA began the process of updating the site, we established several important objectives to direct our work:

  • Give visitors a sense of belonging to the NTA community
  • Provide intuitive navigation for easy site exploration with fewer mouse clicks
  • Offer fresh content to keep you coming back
  • Offer relevant, "what’s-in-it-for-me" information

So please, check out the site and let us know if we succeeded in our goals.

You’ll notice new tools like the Members Benefit grid where you can click on any of the benefits under your membership category and learn about how you can get more from your NTA membership. There may even be a few benefits listed that you had forgotten about or weren’t even aware of. Also, be sure to visit the "For Travelers" section, a place designed for you to share with your clients when they ask what your NTA membership means to them.

And, with the introduction of the new NTA Online, we have also updated the member searches. You can now add photos to your NTA profile. Additionally, as part of NTA’s ongoing efforts to assist members with tracking, suppliers and DMO members will receive an e-mail that notifies them of the number of visits their NTA Online profiles received during a specified period of time.

We encourage you to link to the NTA Web site from your company’s site. That way, your clients will have an easy connection to learn more about NTA. And, the more people that link to NTA Online, the more likely it is to appear at the top of search engines like Google and Yahoo!, which will help NTA educate travelers about packaged travel and the value of working with an NTA tour operator.

This is your Web site, and we really want to hear from you. The NTA Member Services Team is always available to help with any of your online needs. Contact them at 800.682.8886 (U.S. and Canada) or 859.226.4444 or by e-mail at questions@NTAstaff.com. During these first few days, you may find some errors, like broken links. If you run across mistakes, please let headquaters know so they can be corrected right away.

All the best,

P.S. Also, don’t forget you can now log on to the members’ only sections using your e-mail address instead of your company ID. Companies that have multiple member contacts using one e-mail address need to get in touch with the NTA Member Services Team, since each NTA contact must have their own e-mail address on file. Please call  800.682.8886 (U.S. and Canada) or 859.226.4444 or e-mail NTA Headquarters at questions@NTAstaff.com.
