Travelocity Launches TotalTrip
Travelocity is getting into the packaged travel business by launching a new tool called TotalTrip this week.

According to a report on TWCrossroads.com, Travelocity’s packaging technology allows travelers to book air and hotel pieces together and enables the company to conceal their markup. Travelers can choose airline seats, specific room types, and they have the option to book hotels or flights first. Travelocity says it plans to add a car rental component to the program at a later time.

Reports from comScore Networks indicate that packaged travel sales are the fastest growing portion of online travel.
