Travel – the perfect freedom and National Tourism Week
In celebration of National Tourism Week, NTA members are encouraged to incorporate NTA’s Travel – the perfect freedom message in National Tourism Week promotions and celebrations. NTA developed this grassroots marketing message in an effort to stimulate consumer interest in travel. All members have access to a wealth of marketing materials, including free downloadable, customizable fliers and postcards, logos, posters, press releases, letters to the editor, radio scripts and much more. The new Travel – the perfect freedom Web site, traveltheperfectfreedom.com, is easy to navigate and boasts a search feature to help visitors find an NTA tour operator to plan their next trip. Travel news and useful travel links, including information on National Tourism Week, are also posted on the site.
Tour operators are encouraged to submit special travel packages to be posted on traveltheperfectfreedom.com, where more than 20 special travel packages are already posted.
All members are encouraged to support National Tourism Week and the Travel – the perfect freedom message by linking their company Web sites to traveltheperfectfreedom.com.
The Travel Industry of America (TIA) is also encouraging travel industry professionals to use the See America campaign in conjunction with National Tourism Week celebrations. The 2003 SeeAmerica’s Byways video e-mail was sent to TIA members and others throughout the travel industry. Designed to generate increased travel nationwide this summer, the e-mail features beautiful photography from National Geographic Traveler magazine set to music. There is a link to the SeeAmerica.org Byways microsite featuring itineraries for every state to motivate domestic and international travelers to build their own SeeAmerica vacations. TIA Senior Vice President Betsy O’Rourke asked recipients in a separate e-mail message to distribute the video e-mail to customers, frequency members, employees, vendors, friends and family as soon as possible. Use of the video is free and it can be customized with individual logos for only $100. Click here to see the video.
