Travel and Tourism Leaders Meet to Help Aid the Economy

An Economic Summit of travel and tourism leaders took place on Dec.16, with 59 participants from 37 organizations. The group discussed recommendations to accelerate the economy through travel and tourism.
The summit took place at the Capitol Visitors Center in Washington, D.C., making the group the first to meet at this new venue. John Bobo of AkinsCrisp Public Strategies facilitated the meeting. Bobo has experience with preparing presidential planning documents and guided the group in formulating and prioritizing recommendations.
The recommendations, will be distributed following the endorsement of the participating organizations and given to the incoming Obama Transition Team and others in Congress.
