TIA Reports Fall Travel Slightly Up
November 6, 2003 – According to the Travel Industry Association of America, Americans will take more than 245 million person-trips this fall, an increase of less than 1 percent over last year.
Leisure travel during September, October and November has continued to grow, and this year is no exception, with Americans planning on taking a record 194.6 million person trips in fall 2003. Business travel volume is expected to remain stable, with Americans planning on taking 38 million business trips this fall, up less than 1 percent from fall 2002.
