TIA Acquires Travel Commerce Conference
August 2, 2005 – The Travel Industry Association of America has acquired the Travel Commerce Conference and Expo (TravelCom) from JD Events. TIA will produce next year’s event, which will be held from April 17-19 in New York City.

"TIA is uniquely-positioned to be the umbrella association for e-commerce leaders to network, co-op research, mobilize on government affairs issues and learn from each other by sharing best practices," Roger Dow, TIA’s President and Chief Executive Officer said. "Online commerce is playing an increasingly important role in our industry, and we’re excited by the possibilities this conference can bring to our members, as well as by what more we can bring to the previous conference participants."
