Texas Remains On Alert
September 22, 2005 – As Hurricane Rita continues its westerly progression, the Texas state government has forwarded the following items to NTA Headquarters:

  • The best place to check for statements on Hurricane Rita is http://www.traveltex.com/. There is a Hurricane Rita icon on that homepage where you can click to learn more and where you can find additional links.
  • There is a need for motorcoaches to help with the Hurricane Rita evacuation effort for people with motorcoaches ALREADY IN the state of Texas. If you are able to assist, please contact Christy Ennen in the Texas Procurement Office by calling 512.463.3034 or e-mailing her at christy.ennen@tbpc.state.tx.us.

    NTA will continue to monitor the situation and post updates on "This Just In" at NTA Online and on the Member Forums.
