Start Collecting Books for NTA and Tourism Cares Give Back

Oct. 9, 2008 – All NTA members, whether you’re attending Convention in Pittsburgh or not, can take part in the NTA and Tourism Cares Give Back event to support literacy in the Pittsburgh area. Send new or gently-used books to Convention and you can help Pittsburgh Cares increase the literacy of families in the area.

Those coming to Pittsburgh can bring books to donate on-site. Additionally, those who are not able to join us in Pittsburgh can ship your donated books to:

Pittsburgh Cares and members of NTA’s Charitable Event Task Force have provided a recommended book list to help you in choosing a book or books to donate.

While the Friday evening portion of the Give Back event is full, we still need volunteers throughout the week for book wrapping and delivery. Contact NTA Vice President of Business Development Cookie Callahan to volunteer for one of these important duties throughout the Convention week.
