Space Tourism Becoming Reality
December 18, 2003 – Space tourism is becoming a reality. According to today’s issue of Travel Management Daily, Space Adventures, of Arlington, Va., signed an agreement to fly four people to the International Space Station on the Soyuz TMA spacecraft between 2004 and 2007.
The company brokered the flights through the Russian Aviation & Space Agency and Rocket and Space Corp. Energia. Space Adventures also was behind the flights of the first private space explorers, Dennis Tito in 2001 and Mark Shuttleworth in 2002.
