NTA Tour Operators Save with United Airlines
August 23, 2006 – National Tour Association tour operators using the association’s United Airlines transportation provider program benefit from zone fares and preferred domestic deposit fees that are unique in the industry. To date, NTA operators have saved nearly $682,000 in deposit costs alone.

"NTA tour operators who use the United Airlines program are able to save enough money by booking one 32-person group to pay for their association dues and Annual Convention registration fee," said NTA Chairman and CEO Judith Thomas, CTP. "We are proud to have United as the association’s official airline, particularly in a time when many airlines are adopting more restrictive policies toward groups."

Since renewing their transportation provider agreement with United in January of this year, NTA tour operator bookings through the United program have totaled $8.2 million as of Aug. 9. This includes bookings for 842 groups and 27,275 passengers, for an average group size of 32.4 people.

The National Tour Association has a global membership of tourism professionals involved in the growth and development of the packaged travel industry.
