NTA Offers Another Valuable Member Benefit
June 29, 2004 – NTA announces a new member benefit for you! NTA’s new Areas of Interest and Marketing (AIM) Program is designed to provide you with information, research and news about specific areas of interest for your company. From adventure travel to cultural tours, the AIM Program gives you an outlet to come together, develop content based on your educational needs and help each other with business and industry issues on a detailed level.
The AIM program currently consists of six categories, each focusing on a specific interest or market in the travel industry.
- Cultural/Life Enrichment Travel – focuses on experiential travel such as archeological, museum, historic, geological, literary and gardening tours.
- Active/Adventure Travel – focuses on soft and hard adventure as well as active travel such as golf and participatory sport tours.
- Self-guided/Independent Travel – focuses on FIT travel.
- Student/Youth Travel – focuses on travel geared toward the student market.
- Affinity/Custom Group Travel – focuses on group tours such as fall foliage tours and cruises, as well as affinity group tours for church or bank groups.
- Receptive Services – focuses on receptive services.
We encourage all NTA members to join one or more of the AIMs. Each AIM has a Web page on NTA Online with relevant articles, research stats and links, as well as discussion folders on NTA’s online member forums. Each AIM will also have a face-to-face meeting at NTA’s Convention in Toronto. Make plans now to attend Nov. 12-16. Additionally, Courier and the second issue of Tuesday each month will update you on new information and additions to the AIM Web sites.
