NTA Looking for Member Tour Operators to Offer Product Development Trips
NTA will continue its Product Development Trips and is looking for tour operator members who would be interested in conducting the trips for fellow tour operators. Top priority destinations for consideration in 2003 and 2004 are Germany, Italy and/or Spain.
The NTA Global Committee selected these European destinations as priorities for NTA tour operators’ future product development. NTA also felt several aspects from its first two overseas product development trips should be continued to build on the momentum. Therefore, to offer an NTA Product Development Trip a tour company is required to:
- Work with the country’s national tourist board to develop and conduct the trip
- Submit a letter of reference from the national tourist board agreeing to partner with the tour operator to conduct the trip
- Offer the trip to each tour operator participant at a cost between U.S. $500 to $700, including airfare
- Develop an itinerary of at least five days and six nights
- Work with the tourist board to offer a workshop with local tour suppliers at the conclusion of the trip
Interested tour operators should send a cover letter with:
- Current company brochure showing product to either Germany, Italy or Spain
- Overview of company’s history in offering overseas product
- A letter of reference from the national tourist board as outlined above
