NTA Launches New Member-driven Web site


LEXINGTON, Ky.NTA is proud to introduce a redesigned Web site created to give members fresh and relevant information using an intuitive new layout. Working with industry leader simpleview, inc., the new provides association and industry information that travel professionals need to grow their business and keep current with the industry.


"The redesigned NTA Web site is the result of many members’ input, and that fact alone is what makes this site so great," said NTA Chairman and CEO Michele Michalewicz, CTP. "NTA listened to members’ needs, looked at industry trends, and worked with an award-winning Web development company to create a relevant and useful member tool. The members will appreciate the fresh design of the site with photos that really give it a community feel, along with new tools that make the site easy to use and applicable to their business and product development needs."


One of the more distinctive and user-friendly aspects of the new site is a progressive menu and navigation system designed for NTA by simpleview. Intuitive drop-down boxes include thumbnail images and brief descriptions to direct visitors throughout the site with fewer clicks of the mouse.

"Simpleview has been working with the National Tour Association on technology-driven initiatives for several years now and our team is very proud of our latest and greatest accomplishment together – the launch of a completely redesigned Web site," said simpleview President and Chief Marketing Officer Richard Reasons. "The new site will provide NTA members with a host of dynamic features, including a fresh new look, a robust content management solution, a member login area and member forums."

Some of the other enhancements to the site include:

  • Members Corner – This area includes photos from members, member testimonials, as well as the Meet the Members Section from the current issue of NTA’s Courier magazine.
  • For Travelers section – A place designed just for travel consumers. Members can share this with their clients when they ask what their NTA membership means to them. This section will include why travelers should choose an NTA tour operator, tips for travelers, information on consumer financing options available through NTA tour operators, and more.
  • Updated member searches – Members will now be able to enhance their online profiles with photos, and other exciting features are coming soon. Not only can prospective NTA business partners view these profiles, so can potential travelers visiting the site. Additionally, as part of NTA’s ongoing efforts to assist members with tracking, tour supplier and DMO members will be notified of the number of visits their profiles receive.
  • Also, in the first quarter of 2009, NTA will introduce a blog and an industry job bank. is a virtual gathering place for members. They can discuss issues and trends with their colleagues on the member forums, find industry research, search for potential business partners and download member search results in an updated and easy-to-use database.

Helping to develop the site in 2008 were members who served on the Selling NTA Product Online, No Holds Barred Think Tank, and Member Information committees, as well as NTA members who gave feedback about the site both at the 2007 and 2008 Annual Conventions and through surveys and focus groups.
