May 9, 2006 – NTA continues to receive top media attention in the industry, both in trade and consumer outlets. During the first quarter of the year, NTA received more coverage in consumer and travel trade media than ever before. We are experiencing an increase in media coverage of over 53 percent since 2004. From our government relations efforts in Washington, D.C., to the stellar business opportunities the NTA Annual Convention offers, your association is making headlines. Beyond that, your business is vital news in today’s outlets and leading journalists are approaching NTA to learn more about you. During the quarter, NTA received media inquiries from national media including the CBS Early Show, USA Today and NPR Marketplace. Travel trades such as Travel Weekly, Travel Trade News Edition and Group Travel Leader also contacted the association for editorial assistance.
