NTA Headquarters Remains Closed Following Ice Storm
Kentucky, like many other areas throughout the eastern and northeastern portions of the United States, continues to experience crippling winter weather, forcing NTA Headquarters in Lexington to remain closed today, Feb. 20.
At last report, approximately 35,000 central Kentuckians still do not have power, including your NTA offices. Local utility companies are unable to predict when electricity will be restored in the Headquarters area. Additionally, another round of winter weather is expected to bring rain and freezing rain to Lexington.
When power is fully restored, NTA Headquarters will reopen. In the meantime, the NTA staff is working from off-site locations and constantly monitoring NTA Online, voice mail and e-mail.
NTA’s Headquarters buildings can be seen through the ice damaged trees in the courtyard.
Central Avenue, a main access road for NTA Headquarters, was blocked with fallen trees until yesterday, Wednesday, Feb. 19.
