NTA Convention Gets Underway Friday
November 13, 2003 – Delegates will begin arriving in Charlotte, N.C., today for the 2004 NTA Annual Convention. Stay tuned to NTA Online for daily Convention updates as we post daily news and information to the "This Just In" section of our Web site.
Billed as The Ultimate Packaged, this year’s Convention is packed full of new business opportunities and networking events. The Tour & Travel Exchange, which has been setting industry standards since its inception, has been enhanced to offer more buying and selling opportunities for participants. In addition to the open-floor format that allows all members on the floor at all times, the appointment scheduling process has be updated to provide for better quality business appointments and more open time to schedule additional appointments.
Breakfasts on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday and a new evening event at the Discovery Place are just a few of the networking events that have been added to the schedule to offer delegates an opportunity to get together in a more informal setting.
All these improvements seem to be paying off, according to the numbers. Convention attendance is up compared to last year. Also, there are more tour operators attending this year, and more tour operators are participating in the Tour & Travel Exchange.
