NTA Annual Convention Kicks Off Today
Nov. 3, 2006 – Delegates arrived in Salt Lake City today for the opening day of the 2006 NTA Annual Convention. The first day is packed with plenty of business and fun, carefully planned to provide all NTA members with the best buying and selling in the industry.
Cutting-edge seminars will take place throughout the morning and afternoon, including sessions on travel insurance and sustainable tourism. Country-music star Trent Willmon will perform at the Friday Luncheon and Tony Danza will entertain tour operators at tonight’s dinner.
Also today, the ever-popular speed dating session returns. These three-minute "dates" bring big returns.
"I always thought seven-minute appointments can be exciting, but I couldn’t believe how much business you can actually accomplish in three minutes," said Sharon Gaiptman, director of marking/trade & international sales for Alaska Discovery. "It was amazing. You could sit down and quickly find out if there was a possible connections there and get right down to business. I definitely was able to find several operators to partner with."
Also this evening, NTA will hold its second annual Wine and Cheese Reception where delegates can experience the sophisticated side of many NTA destinations.
It’s all here at NTA.
