NTA Announces 2015 Board
February 4, 2015
With the announcement of the 2015 National Tour Association Board of Directors in New Orleans last month, Jorge Cazenave became the first member outside of North America to serve as board chair. His company, Cazenave Argentina, packages travel between South America and the United States.
“My goal for NTA in 2015 is to show that North America welcomes the world’s tour business and that NTA is the best channel for it,” said Cazenave, who joined the association in 2005.
Cazenave served as vice chair of the NTA board last year, and his rise to the role of chair was automatic. Along with the rest of the 2015 board, Cazenave was introduced to members attending a Jan. 22 luncheon in New Orleans during Travel Exchange, NTA’s annual convention and appointment show. Here are the members of the 2015 NTA Board of Directors:
- Jorge Cazenave, Cazenave Argentina, Buenos Aires; Chair
- Justin Osbon, Image Tours, Grand Rapids, Michigan; Vice Chair
- Jay Smith, Sports Travel and Tours, Hatfield, Massachusetts; Secretary/Treasurer
- John Meyer, Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority; DMO Director
- Jodi Danyluk, Norwegian Cruise Line, Miami; Tour Supplier Director

- Jim Warren, Anderson Vacations, Calgary, Alberta; Tour Operator Director
- Kris Land, Kay Jewelers, Akron, Ohio; Tour Supplier Director

One of Cazenave’s first decisions was to appoint three at-large members to the board:
- Malia Asfour, Jordan Tourism Board, McLean, Virginia
- J.J. Villani, Yahoo!, New York City
- Jim Magrath, Delta Air Lines, Atlanta, Georgia
Cazenave, whose Buenos Aires-based company specializes in adventure travel, agritourism and ecotours, said participating in NTA improves both his inbound and outbound business. “NTA is very important for me and my business because I get to see the best of the USA, Canada and other parts of the world as well as showcasing Argentina.”
NTA was founded in 1951 and is now the leading association for travel professionals (representing more than 40 countries) interested in the North American market. Cazenave will preside through the next Travel Exchange, set for Jan. 31-Feb 4, 2016, in Atlanta.
