New Motorcoach Facilities Open in Philadelphia’s Historic District
A new motorcoach loading and unloading area and a new designated parking area are now open in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic district. The new areas are being touted as more convenient for groups to visit sites, attractions, shops and restaurants in the city’s historic district.

The new Independence Transportation Center, a motorcoach loading and unloading area located adjacent to the National Constitution Center, will serve as the drop-off and pick-up point for groups visiting all of the attractions in and around Independence Historic Park. Motorcoaches will be able to enter the ITC from Race Street, between Fifth and Sixth streets. This will be the only area where motorcoaches will be able to load and unload in the historic area. Parking and idling regulations will be strictly enforced.

A new designated motorcoach parking facility will be located on Callowhill Street between Front and Second streets. The secured lot will have 40 parking spots and will be open 24 hours a day. The fee for the lot will be $20 for the day and will be collected upon entry to the ITC drop-off location.
