More Travel Delays Due to Winter Weather
Feb. 14, 2007 –Wintry conditions are causing more travel delays across much of the United States. Washington Dulles and Reagan Washington National are both closed this morning and more than 400 flights were canceled at Chicago-O’Hare Airport on Tuesday. Other airports, such as Indianapolis and Cincinnati, reported some cancellations. Hartford’s Bradley International Airport closed flights at 3 a.m. Wednesday, but hopes to reopen later this morning.

As reported yesterday on This Just In, United and US Airways announced they would waive penalties and fees for flight changes due to the storm. Continental and Delta also have announced details of their policy changes. Continental customers scheduled to fly through Thursday through affected areas may change their tickets without penalty. Travel must originate by Feb. 20. For up-to-date information regarding the status of a specific flight, the airline recommends going to www.continental.com. Delta said that customers who purchased tickets by Feb. 13 and are scheduled to travel Feb. 13 to Feb. 15, to, from or through the following states on Delta, Delta Connection or Delta-coded flights, may make a one-time change without penalty or additional fees if tickets are changed by Feb. 18. Travel must begin on or before Feb. 18. For updates on flights, visit www.delta.com.
